Like many of our products, eyewear is an all-season investment. And like any investment, we wanted to produce a piece that would stand the test of time.
Inspired by history, this version of our VINCENT eyewear is framed with metal detailing to the corner hinges and inset into the beautiful tortoiseshell acetate. The lenses are a dark and cool smoked brown colour, tinted to perfection to reduce the brightness of the sun's rays without distorting the beauty of the world around them. This is a flattering and easy-fit pair of sunglasses that sit light and comfortably, producing an effortless style and silhouette.

Origins
The first sunglasses were invented in the 12th Century in China and used a simple slab of quartz to block out sunlight. It's also thought that judges opted for a smoked-coloured lens to avoid showing emotion in particular cases.
As time moved on, so did innovation. In the 18th Century, colour lenses were intruded to improve vision in poor light as it was believed a blue or green tint could correct certain impairments.
